K&W Cafeterias started in Winston-Salem, NC and has been owned by the Allred family since 1937. Founder, Grady T. Allred, Sr. once stated “while trends come and go, good food at a reasonable price is never out of style.” The Allred family and their employees continue to operate K&W based on that philosophy. Each day, we offer fresh, quality food using time-honored recipes to make our food from scratch. We are proud to belong to the state of North Carolina’s “Got to be NC” agricultural program and we buy local whenever we can. Our spacious dining rooms are family-friendly and can accommodate individuals or large groups. K&W’s wait staff is friendly and eager to help. What Southern Style Food do we have?

K&W Cafeterias are all about quality food and variety. You’ll be amazed at the many food choices! True southern items like fried chicken, country style steak, roast beef, meatloaf and macaroni and cheese are all typical of the daily offering at K&W Cafeteria. We make our food in small batches to ensure the quality we offer our customers. K&W Cafeteria is also a partner with the Heart Center Dining Program at Wake Forest University and we offer heart-healthy options and sugar-free desserts for those on restricted diets. Special Kids Meals are available for children 12 and under. There’s literally something for everyone!

Located in Forsyth County, the K&W Café is a mini-version of our more familiar K&W Cafeterias. While featuring many of the same comfort foods normally served by K&W, the K&W Café also features an express drive-thru window for rapid take-out. Our Drive-Time menu is exclusive to the K&W Café and features a selection of delicious sandwiches and side items for customers on the go.
