At K&W, the health, safety and well-being of our guests and fellow team members are always a top priority. For over 80 years our brand has specialized in serving our local communities in North & South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. As our communities continue to feel the increased impact of COVID-19 coronavirus, we wanted to share this update.
Please know that our industry is already governed by strict health and safety standards, and we are deeply committed to delivering a safe environment. As we remain vigilant, we’ve implemented additional and enhanced preventive measures to make our restaurants even safer.
- Ensuring all team members are safe and healthy, and that any team member with any sign of illness stays at home
- Requiring all team members to wear face coverings and taking temperatures before working shifts
- Sanitizing surfaces and key guest touchpoints more frequently
- Removed condiment bottles from the dining room and made available upon request so they may be sanitized between uses
- Enhancing frequency of current cleaning procedures
- Reinforcing hand-washing practices requiring employees to wash their hands a minimum of every 20 minutes and between tasks
- Encouraging guests use our hand sanitizer stations upon entering and leaving the cafeteria
- Serving you with protective gloves and reducing opportunities for guests to touch plated desserts or drinks
- Our safety team continues to closely monitor health risks and are fully prepared to adapt and modify should circumstances dictate on a restaurant by restaurant basis. It is important to remember that the coronavirus in not a foodborne illness.
We sincerely appreciate your patronage and support during this challenging event. We will get through this together. In the meantime, please enjoy a wonderful scratch made dining experience with your extended family members here at K&W whether that is in our dining room, taken to-go or delivered to your home.
